FAQ
How does HEDGR calculate exposure?
Exposure is calculated as the net foreign currency position across all open invoices and bank balances, converted to your base currency using current FX rates.
What data sources are used?
- Xero: Invoice and bank balance data
- Institutional rate feed: Primary FX market rate source
- Frankfurter: Backup FX rate provider
How often is data refreshed?
Click the "Refresh" button to sync with Xero. Historical rates are cached locally and only updated when new data is needed.
Is my data secure?
Your Xero data is fetched directly from Xero's API and processed in your browser. No financial data is stored on our servers. Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 with secure tokens.
What currencies are supported?
HEDGR supports all major currencies including GBP, USD, EUR, ZAR, AUD, NZD, CAD, CHF, JPY, and others through third-party providers.
How accurate are the P&L calculations?
P&L calculations use the actual settlement rates from your Xero transactions and historical FX rates. However, results should be verified against your accounting records.
